Fun in the Desert Sun

Watersports

Despite being one of the driest states in the nation, Utah offers some incredible water opportunities and a wide array of landscapes to enjoy water activity. Utah is number six in the nation for boat-able water; there are over 100 boat-able bodies of water scattered throughout the state that host a variety of campgrounds, developed ramps and docks, and more. Bodies of water to explore and enjoy range from high mountain lakes to thermal springs in the desert and everything in between.

Utah is home to the unique canyoneering sport. There are opportunities to repel, hike through slot canyons, and swim all in one. Zion National Park area is famous for the Narrows and Subway hikes that highlight this one of a kind canyoneering.

Canyoneering runs a high risk of flash floods as well as all the risks that come with repelling. Areas with slot canyons also have professional guides, it is recommended to have someone experienced in this technique and know the forecast when entering a slot canyon.
