Perfect for a Relaxing Day on the Slopes

Brian Head Ski Resort

650 Acres of Nothing But Good Times!

Brian Head is different from other Utah ski resorts. It is small (650 acres), intimate, and offers an incredibly laid-back atmosphere. Brian Head’s 10 lifts (including one high-speed quad) will take you to an elevation of 10,970 ft, where you can then choose from 71 skiable runs.
Predominantly suited to mini park rats, beginners, and beg-intermediates, this Utah resort gets 360 inches of beautiful powder each season. While the Grand Lodge at Brian Head offers 100 guest rooms and 12 luxurious suites, the town of Brian Head also offers affordable lodging options like hotels, condos, and cabins.

No day of skiing is complete without some well-deserved food and drink. To make sure guests are satisfied, Brian Head Resort has its own café and bar featuring casual eats and drinks, patio brews and brats stand, and a saloon featuring live music (although it’s only open during ski season).

However, there’s more to Brian Head than just skiing. Snow tubing happens to be all the rage here, so make sure to reserve your spot in advance. You can also check out their snowshoeing and snowmobiling opportunities. If you’re visiting during the summertime, the Brian Head Resort Mountain Bike Park is a stellar choice. Visit using the Gold Pass, Yeti Pass, Power Pass, or the Ski Utah Passport.

Getting to Brian Head

Brian Head is Utah's southern most ski resort. It is 3.5 hours from Salt Lake City and about 45 minutes from Cedar City.

History

Brian Head Ski Resort has a long and storied history. It began in 1964 when two adventurous individuals from Southern Utah, Burt Nicols and Homer Vasels, had the idea to develop a ski area on top of Brian Head Peak. At the time, it was a relatively unknown mountain range and there weren’t any other ski resorts in the entire state.
