With thousands of miles of trails, Utah offers an array of hikes for all levels and abilities. Some popular trails are accessible right in the heart of Salt Lake City, such as Ensign Peak or Grandeur Peak. Other easily accessible trails include Cathedral Valley, Devils Garden Trailhead, and Capitol Reef National Park. For more adventurous hikers, consider tackling one of Utah's "big four" peaks - Kings Peak, Mount Timpanogos, Mount Nebo and Lone Peak.

Angels Landing

Angels Landing is one of the most beloved and challenging hikes in Zion National Park. Hikers will traverse a narrow ridge line with sheer drops on either side, eventually leading to an incredible viewpoint above Zion Canyon. Make sure to come prepared since some consider this trail dangerous and can get quite hot in the summer months. It is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen. The journey may be intimidating but the reward of reaching the top is worth it! Once you are up there, enjoy an incredible view of the canyon below with picturesque red rocks spreading out for miles in every direction.

The Narrows

The Narrows is an iconic hike in Zion National Park, extremely popular for its incredible scenery and unique route. Hike along the Virgin River as it weaves through the canyon walls and be prepared to get wet since much of the trail involves wading up to waist-deep in water. Hikers should come prepared with gear such as waterproof boots, walking sticks, and a sunhat.  Be sure to take breaks throughout the hike and explore this magical place's beauty. Climb up to magnificent viewpoints, explore side canyons, or just relax in a shady spot along the river. With its breathtaking landscape and unique route, The Narrows is an unforgettable experience!

Chesler Park Loop

Chesler Park Loop is a rewarding and strenuous backpacking trip in Canyonlands National Park. This 11-mile journey will lead you past spectacular views of the La Sal Mountains, multi-colored spires, and luscious meadows within massive canyons.  While this trail is relatively difficult, it does offer a wide variety of scenery and activities for those up to the challenge. Hikers can explore side canyons full of wildflowers, take breaks at hidden oases, and enjoy incredible views along the way. Some sections require scrambling or wading through small streams depending on your chosen route.

Corona Arch

Corona Arch is a great hiking destination near Moab, only a short drive away from Arches National Park. This scenic two-mile trail will take you to a massive archway, perfect for pictures and unforgettable memories. Corona Arch is an easy hike with some moderate elevation gain and requires minimal gear - just bring plenty of water! Along your journey, you’ll be treated to an incredible view of the surrounding canyons and red rock formations. It is also a great spot for rappelling and rock climbing with plenty of routes to explore.

Fairyland Loop

Fairyland Loop is a dream-like hike located in Bryce Canyon National Park. This 8 mile loop takes you through an enchanting landscape of pine forests, meadows, and vibrant hoodoos (tall spires of rock). Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for this journey as it can take up to seven hours to complete.

Delicate Arch

Delicate Arch is one of Arches National Park's most iconic and beloved sites. This difficult 3-mile hike brings you to a stunning archway, which stands alone against the backdrop of a vast landscape. Remember to bring plenty of water on your journey as this trail can get very hot during the summer months!

Hickman Bridge Trail

Hickman Bridge Trail is an easy and truly rewarding two-mile hike located in Capitol Reef National Park. This trail leads you to a natural arch spanning across the Fremont River, offering amazing views of Utah's red rock landscape.
