Utah's Very First Ski Resort

Brighton Ski Resort

As much as 500 feet of snowfall each year.

Brighton Ski Resort is the perfect location for any skiing enthusiast, no matter the skill level. Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, Brighton offers some of the best snow conditions and terrain parks in all of North America. With an average annual snowfall of 360 inches and over 1,000 acres of skiable terrain, Brighton is the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy a day on the slopes.

Overview

Unlike other Utah ski resorts, Brighton’s 1,050 skiable acres and 500 inches of annual snowfall don’t get a ton of attention from out-of-towners. Therefore, the only on-mountain lodging is Brighton Lodge’s charming selection of 20 rooms. While there isn’t a traditional ski village equipped with restaurants, bars, and shops, Brighton has a ski-in ski-out aprés selection of one bar and grill, one café, and two casual restaurants.

Brighton Ski Resort offers something for everyone - from beginners who are just learning how to ski or snowboard, to experts who want to take their skills to the next level. Beginner and intermediate skiers and boarders can enjoy cruising down groomed runs, while more advanced riders can take their skills to the terrain parks. Brighton is home to three terrain parks, offering a variety of jumps, rails and other features for those looking to practice their tricks. In addition to the terrain parks, Brighton also offers a variety of slopes ranging from beginner to expert. Whether you’re looking for an easy cruiser or something more challenging, Brighton has plenty of options.

The good news is that Brighton Ski Resort is just a quick 45-minute drive to Salt Lake City, where there are ample dining, lodging, and entertainment options. During the summer, Brighton hosts a golf tournament for charity. Want to visit the Brighton ski area?
