Sundance Ski Resort

Sundance is a ski resort like no other. Located in the shadows of Mt. Timpanogos, this small-town ski village is charming, rustic, and incredibly artsy. The resort features 42 runs that are spread out across 450 acres of skiable terrain (and are accessed by 5 chair lifts). Sundance’s summit has an elevation of 8,250 ft and the base elevation is 6,100 ft, allowing for a vertical drop of 2,150 ft. Additionally, the resort sees 275 inches of snowfall annually. Visit using your Gold Pass, Yeti Pass, or Ski Utah Passport.
No matter what sort of accommodations you’re seeking, Sundance likely has it. The resort manages lodging options ranging from hotel rooms to four-bedroom mountain homes. To encapsulate the resort’s mountain-town charm, all accommodations are discretely situated amongst the woods and snow in three areas called Pines, River Run, and Mandan.

In terms of eating and drinking, Sundance has plenty of options. The Foundry Grill provides a relaxed atmosphere, while the Tree Room offers more refined dining options. For a quick bite, check out the Owl Bar (which also happens to be the only bar on the resort’s premises).

Sundance offers tons of options for fun in addition to skiing and snowboarding. There are plenty of family-friendly activities you can sign up for in the lodge (jewelry making, for example) and adventurous activities like ice climbing or snowmobiling. They also hold daily yoga classes. If you’re visiting during the warmer season, pack your visit with fine dining, art classes, spa treatments, shopping, fly fishing, and horseback rides.
