Brigham Young University
Brigham Young University (BYU) is a private, non-profit research university located in Provo, Utah. It is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). BYU is the largest religious university in the United States.
History
BYU was founded in 1875 to provide higher education in a faith-based environment. The university was named after Brigham Young who was the second president of the LDS Church and a pioneer of the American West. Over the years, BYU has grown substantially and offers a wide range of academic programs and degrees.

As of fall 2021, BYU has a total enrollment of approximately 32,000 students. The majority of these students come from the United States, but there are also a significant number of international students from over 100 countries.
