Salt Lake Temple
The Salt Lake Temple is the centerpiece of Temple Square, and it's closed to non-members. However, visitors can get a glimpse while taking part in free guided tours around the grounds. Tour guides provide historical information about the temple and its significance to Latter-day Saints as well as architectural details about its construction.
The Tabernacle Choir
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is one of the world's best-known choirs and has been a feature of the square for over 150 years. The choir holds free weekly rehearsals in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Thursday nights, which are open to visitors. You can also watch some of their performances online if you aren't able to make it in person.
Conference Center
The Conference Center is a popular venue for conferences, concerts and other events. It's open to the public for free tours that include interesting facts about its construction and a description of its features. There are also several exhibits on Mormonism throughout the building. It contains a 21,000-seat auditorium and an 850-seat theater.
Joseph Smith Memorial Building
The Joseph Smith Memorial Building is located within Temple Square and contains a museum, library and restaurant. The museum showcases artifacts from the early days of Mormonism, while the library displays materials related to Latter-day Saint history. There are also archives available for genealogical purposes.
