Cherry Peak Ski Resort is one of the newest ski resorts in the United States, having been established in 2014. Located in Utah’s rich and beautiful Wasatch Mountains, Cherry Peak features a variety of terrain and runs that appeal to both novice and expert skiers alike. With seven lifts, over 25 trails, two terrain parks, and the popular half-pipe, it’s easy to see why Cherry Peak is quickly becoming one of the most popular ski resorts in the nation.

The resort was first conceived by property owner John Chadwick in 2009. With the help of investors, he was able to acquire enough funds to begin development in 2013. By 2014, Cherry Peak Ski Resort had opened its doors and was quickly becoming one of Utah’s premier ski resorts.

Since its inception, Cherry Peak has offered a variety of terrain and activities for all types of skiers. Whether skiing down the challenging double black diamond runs or taking advantage of the terrain park features, there is something to appeal to every type of skier. In addition to this, the resort also offers snow tubing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing for those looking for a different type of winter experience.

History of Richmond, Utah

One of the closest towns to Cherry Peak Ski Resort is Richmond, Utah. Founded in 1859 by a group of Mormon settlers, Richmond is a perfect example of an Old West town. The town’s main street was built with the help of local volunteers and it features several unique buildings that still stand today.

Richmond’s population grew to over 900 residents by the end of the 19th century, and it was home to several successful businesses including a woolen mill, two banks, and a hotel.

Mining History
