Utah Valley University

History

Utah Valley University (UVU) is a public university located in Orem, Utah. The school was founded in 1941 as Central Utah Vocational School, and over the years it has undergone several name changes and expansions. In 1987, the school became known as Utah Valley State College, and in 2008 it was granted university status and officially became Utah Valley University.
