Utah Tech University

Utah Tech University (UTU) is a comprehensive university located in St. George, Utah. Founded in
1911 as St. George Stake Academy, UTU has a rich history of providing high-quality education and resources to its students.

History

Known for many years as Dixie College and then Dixie State University, UTU was founded with the
goal of providing affordable, accessible higher education to students in southern Utah. In the years
since its founding, UTU has grown significantly, adding new programs and facilities to meet the needs
